Tell us what makes you proud to be a writer from your City State or Country?:  There's really nothing that makes me proud to be a writer from where I live. I don't contribute to my living where I am any success to my writing. I contribute my success to my hard work.

What or who inspired you to become a writer?:  What inspired me to become a writer was an object-specific writing assignment in the fourth grade. I was seven or eight then, and the teacher told us to choose an object which to write about. I chose a door that only the main character could see.Naturally, my mind went in the direction of fantasy, and it bloomed from there. When the other children were up at the front of the class, reading their stories, I was still writing. I never did present my story (although I didn't want to; I never intended to do so anyway.) I lost writing shortly after that until eighth grade. I was transferred to a higher English class, and, I believe, I had mentioned on a paper that I wrote. An English/History teacher asked to see the novel I was working on, which was a rewrite of what I had started writing when I was seven/eight. I was thirteen then. I got interested in writing even more in Fall of 2007, where I switched from the fantasy to horror genre. It's my love of horror movies and books that made my want to write the dark genres.

Tell us why you write the genres that you write?:  I write in the darker genres because I like to touch the darker aspects of human life and emotion. When I write horror, I can put my characters through anything I want. Naturally, that is done in all fiction. But with horror, you can tamper with whatever reality you want. I write in the darker genres because, unlike other genres, the dark genres are the genres that truly test human boundaries and emotion.

What special projects are you working on now and what books do we have to look forward to in the future?:  A novella collection, Play Dead, comprised of my four novellas (Play Dead, the title novella; Rage, Lamia and Pig,) is set to release this year. I also have an online serial called Inner Demons (which deals with the coming of age story of a young gay man, with a dark twist) which is available at http://insideyourinnerdemons.wordpress.com. Other than that, I can't say what's going on. All I can say is that my readers should expect to see new things from me in the coming weeks, months and years.
